Gayle Storm in Abu Dhabi T10! Universe Boss smashes 84* off just 22 balls

The Universe Boss, Chris Gayle was having a quiet outing in the T10 Abu Dhabi league for some time, but it seems he has regained his mojo as he smashed 84 not out off just 22 balls against Maratha Arabians with 6 fours and 9 sixes. The left-hand batsman went all guns blazing and thrashed bowlers to all parts of the ground to help Team Abu Dhabi chase the target of 98 runs in just 5.3 overs.

Gayle storm destroys Maratha Arabians

In the super league match in the T10 Abu Dhabi, Maratha Arabians scored 97 runs in their innings. Gayle who had scores of 2, 9, 5, and 4 in this tournament so far decided to unleash himself and went beserk while chasing the target.

He smashed 3 fours and 1 six in the first over and then tonked Sompal Kami for 3 consecutive sixes in the second over.  TAB lost Paul Sterling in the 3rd over but Gayle was oblivious to it as he hammered another 2 fours and 2 sixes in that over.

Gayle brought his fifty in just 12 balls and had no stopping even after that. In the fourth over, Maroof Merchant missed his length by only a small margin, but Gayle was in no mood to forgive him and pulled the bowler for two back to back sixes.

Ishan Malhotra bowled tidily in the next over giving away only 10 runs. But by then the damage was already been done as the Windies batsman hit another six in the 6th over to finish the game in style.

Gayle storm takes Team Abu Dhabi to 4th place 

Courtesy of Gayle’s sensational innings, Team Abu Dhabi defeated Maratha Arabians by 9 wickets and registered their second win in 5 games. Team Abu Dhabi is now reached 4th place in the points table.
