PAK vs SA: Mohammed Rizwan takes a flying catch to dismiss Dean Elgar – WATCH

Pakistan wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan produced a moment of brilliance during the ongoing PAK vs SA Test as he dived full-length in front to grab a catch and dismiss South African opener Dean Elgar. Rizwan’s effort impressed everyone and the video of his diving catch is making rounds on social media.

In the 17th over of South Africa’s second innings, southpaw D Elgar tried to sweep leggie, Yasir Shah, from outside the off-stump. However, he only managed to get a bottom-edge which popped up in the air after hitting his pads.

There was no fielder at silly point. So it seemed as if the ball would land safely. But wicket-keeper M Rizwan showed a sharp presence of mind and dived full-length in front to catch the ball just inches above the ground. Rizwan’s quick reflexes and his catching technique made this catch look more spectacular.

South Africa resist strongly as the Test hangs in balance 

A valiant effort from South African batsmen in the second innings has kept the first Test alive and we could have a highly entertaining fifth day where all four results are possible.

The visitors ended Pakistan’s first innings at 378 runs on day four, which meant the hosts gained a lead of 158 runs. Then South African top-order showed tremendous resilience to eliminate Pakistan’s lead.

Opener D Elgad looked good for his 29 runs before Rizwan’s stunning catch ended his party. A Markram and R van der Dussen made 127 runs for the second wicket to bring South Africa in front.

However, the duo departed in the last hour of the day and Yasir Shah got the key wicket of Faf du Plessis to keep Pakistan in the hunt. At the end of day four, South Africa lead by 29 runs and have 6 wickets in hand.
