Things are getting worser and worser for India down under. After losing the likes of Shami, Ishant, Rahul and Umesh due to injuries, a new set of players are now set to be ruled out for the final and series deciding Test at Gabba. It is reported that Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and hero of the last match Hanuma Vihar will miss the Gabba Test due to injury.
Jasprit Bumrah doubtful for the last Test
India’s major hope at the bouncy Gabba pitch, Jasprit Bumrah is set to miss the Test due to an abdominal strain. He has so far played a crucial role in this series. He has picked up 11 wickets in this series at an average of 29.36. In the absence of Shami and Ishant it was Bumrah who led the Indian pace bowling unit. His absence will cost India much more than anyone’s absence in the bouncy Gabba pitch. Either of Shardul Thakur or debutant T Natarajan will replace him in the eleven.
Jadeja and Vihari ruled out of 4th Test
As expected, Indian all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Hanuma Vihari has been ruled out of the fourth Test due to the injuries they picked up during the third Test. Jadeja dislocated his finger while batting in the first innings whereas Vihari has suffered a hamstring injury. Despite that, Vihari batted on one leg for 161 balls to save the Test for India on Day 5 at the SCG. India will heavily miss the services of both these players at Gabba, as both of them brings a much-needed stability to the side. With Rahul already ruled out, and Mayank getting hit at the nets it is still not clear as to who will replace them in the playing eleven.

As it turns out, India will be forced to play Mayank and Kuldeep at Gabba in place of Vihari and Jadeja, as no other options are available at the moment.
