Aaron Finch registers highest individual T20I score against Zimbabwe

Australia T20I skipper Aaron Finch broke his own record of highest individual T20I score of 156 as he scored 172 against Zimbabwe on Tuesday.
Aaron Finch went past Shane Watson to become the only Australian cricketer to score 3 back-to-back half centuries in T20I cricket. This record was earlier held by Shane Watson with 3 consecutive centuries to his name.
When the score board of Australia read 168, it also became the highest opening partnership for Australia in T20Is.
He also registered the record of highest score by a skipper in T20s.
Hosts Zimbabwe put Australia to bat first after winning the toss. The Aussies went all guns blazing and posted a total of 50 in just the 4th over.
Australia posted a mammoth total of 229/2 in its alloted 20 overs.
Aaron Finch also smashed his second T20I hundred.
Finch displayed his stellar international T20 form in Australia’s opening match against Pakistan to kick start their Qantas Tour of Zimbabwe with a win.
Finch scored 68 from just 33 balls to lead his team to a nine-wicket win.
From his last five T20I innings in 2018, Finch has amassed 226 runs at an impressive average of 226.
He continued his blazing form against Zimbabwe as well to help his team post an impressive total.
