SKN vs JAM Dream 11 Team CPL 2020 – St Kitts and Nevis Patriots vs Jamaica Tallawahs

With the tournament moving towards its second half, Patriots and Tallawahs find themselves rooted at the bottom of the points table. Both teams would look for a win to climb up the points table. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots only win this season came courtesy of an Evin Lewis masterclass against the Tridents. Lynn’s struggles against the spinners and the Allen sized hole in the middle-order haven’t helped their cause. They endured another loss last match against the Zouks as Nabi ran through their batting order with a 5fer.
Meanwhile, Tallawahs have managed to win only 2 out of 5 matches despite remarkable performances from the spin duo Mujeeb and Lamichanne. Their batting has been a big letdown with the failure of Walton at the top combined with an inconsistent middle-order and their strange tactic of holding back Russell in the batting order. With Russell sitting out the last match due to an injury, Patriots lost the match with another batting collapse.
S Tanvir has been expensive with the ball since his coming back from injury, so there’s a chance that Cottrell might replace Tanvir in the Patriots squad. With Russell expected to be fit for this game, there’ll be a straight swap between Russell and V Permaul in the Jamaican Tallawahs unit.
Pitch report
The tracks at the Queen’s Park Oval have started to slow down day-by-day, so expect the scores to be around 150 with huge assistance to spinners. Forecast at the Queen’s Park Oval is cloudy for the day with light chances of rain.
SKN vs JAM Dream11 Prediction
Possible SKN Playing 11 – C Lynn, E Lewis, N Kelly, D Ramdin, B Dunk, J Hamilton, S Tanvir/S Cottrell, R Emrit(C), A Joseph, I Khan, Jaggesar
Evin Lewis – The second-highest run-scorer in CPL 2020 so far. If he can see off Mujeeb’s spell at the start, there ain’t any bowler in the Tallawahs unit to challenge Lewis.
D Ramdin – Ramdin has been accumulating some handy runs in this tournament albeit at a lesser SR. But with the slow tracks, even a run-a-ball 30 from his bat can boost your fantasy points.
Imran Khan – Despite being on the sidelines since the start of the tournament, Imran proved his worth with a spell of 3/23 against the Zouks last match. Expect him to continue his form with the ball.
Ben Dunk – He has been amongst the runs for the Patriots scoring 123 runs from 5 matches. Similar to Lewis, there’s the Mujeeb threat but expect him to negate it and score some runs.
Possible JAM Playing 11 – C Walton, G Phillips, J Blackwood, R Powell(C), C Brathwaite, Asif Ali, A Russell, N Bonner, Mujeeb ur Rahman, S Lamichanne, F Edwards
Mujeeb Ur Rahman – He’s in red-hot form this season with 12 wickets from 5 games at an unbelievable average of 6.75. With a handful of left-handers in the SKNP lineup, it would be foolish to leave him out of your fantasy team.
S Lamichanne – The leg-spinner from Nepal has been promising this season with 7 wickets from 5 games at 12.71.
G Phillips – A mixed season for him so far with two fifties and two ducks but once he gets a start, he has the ability to convert them into a big score.
A Russell – Russell took his time to get back into the groove with the bat and was showing signs of getting back to his beast mode despite the slow tracks and some confusing tactics from the team management.
SKN vs JAM Dream11 Team Captain, Differential Picks
Loading your team with spinners would be the most ideal thing with the slow nature of the Queen’s Park Oval. Refrain from choosing the big-hitters and try to go with reliable batsmen who can accumulate some runs. Composition of the side should be having more spinners, followed by some reliable batsman.
Captaincy Picks – Mujeeb-Ur-Rahman, Evin Lewis and Russell should be your main choices as captain. Mujeeb’s bowling form should make it a no-brainer for his pick and if any one of Lewis and Russell gets set, they can score big with the bat.
Differential Picks –
Jon-Russ Jaggesar – The carrom ball of Jaggesar has the potential to trouble the right-hand dominant batting lineup of the Tallawahs. If he delivers, your fantasy points would get an unreal boost.
R Powell – Powell’s form with the bat has been poor so far this season and with questions hovering around his captaincy, can’t rule out a typical captain’s knock from him.
