IPL 2020 will begin on 19 September, final on 8 November

The fans are ecstatic and overjoyed to hear the official confirmation regarding the marquee event in the Indian Premier League. The IPL which was supposed to happen in India from February to April was postponed courtesy novel coronavirus pandemic.

The chairman of the IPL Brijesh Patel confirmed the same and that the IPL will be wrapped up in 51 days which means that double-headers are stacked up for the fans which they deserve after an unbelievable drought period without any action

UAE likely to win the race in hosting IPL 2020

As reported earlier that as much as 4 countries were in the race to host the IPL apart from India. New Zealand, Sri Lanka, UAE and South Africa were the countries who proposed to BCCI to stage the cash-rich league in their country as the situation in India is terrible, to say the least. It was always the Emirates nation in UAE were the front runners to win the race as they have already staged the IPL once in 2014 for the first 20 games.

The travelling time also is very minimal and since there are only 3 venues in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, the players won’t have to travel much which all favoured UAE. Although the tournament is set to happen behind-closed-doors, that won’t affect the excitement among the fans.

There were reports coming that the commentators won’t be travelling to UAE as they are planning to comment from home just like the way the Hindi commentators did for the recently concluded 3TC that held in South Africa.

Packed T20 season lined-up for cricket fans

When it comes to entertainment, there is nothing better than T20 cricket. A string of high octane T20 tournaments in CPL (starting from August 8th), T20 blast (starting from August 27th), IPL (starting from September 19th), Big bash (starting from December 3rd) are ready to treat the fans.
