The comeback man Stuart Broad struck thrice in quick succession to put England in a commanding position. England were struggling for wickets as the Windies batters applied themselves to perfection on a decent wicket to bat on.
The wicket did showed some demons as the ball kept low then and there to keep the batsmen guessing all the way through. England bowlers were hanging in and were waiting for the right moment to grab it and the veteran Stuart Broad didn’t disappoint them.
Stuart Broad rattles Blackwood
The England bowlers understood the need to attack the stumps as the odd ball was keeping low and that has reaped rewards for them. When England were desperately looking for wickets, the 139 tests old Stuart Broad responded brilliantly with 3 quick wickets to put his team right back in the driver’s seat.
The 34 year old kept attacking the stumps after tea and as expected the odd ball kept low to disturb the timber. Here’s the clipping of Jermaine Blackwood’s dismissal.

Earlier, the well set Shamarh Brooks was dismissed by a similar delivery by Stuart Broad. The middle order batsman was well set for a big score as he was batting at 68 after having faced 137 deliveries that included 11 boundaries in it. The ball that pitched in good length, hurried to Blackwood who couldn’t bring down his bat on time as he was caught plumb in front of the wicket.
YES! Deserved wicket for @StuartBroad8! ?

England in driver’s seat
The hosts are placed strong after Stuart Broad’s 3 quick wickets. At one stage, Windies were looking set to see through the 4th day without any damage when Kraigg Brathwaite and Shamarh Brooks were at the crease but this mini collpase has ensured that England are firm favorites to level the series here at Old Trafford.
