#VirushkaDivorce Trends, Twitter flooded with most hilarious memes

A rumour is always a good selling point for people who seek cheap publicity. Virushka divorce is the latest rumor that has surfaced in the internet especially in the social media platform in Twitter. Within hours of the first tweet with the hashtag #VirushkaDivorce, the memes started to pour in. Soon Twitter was flooded with the memes related to this.

Most of them came from Indian users who decided to see the funny side of it. But as usual there were people who also started to condemn the meme makers and took a stand of giving some privacy which they believed the couple duly deserved.

An old article that talks Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s divorce seems to have resurfaced on the internet, which has lead to many trending #VirushkaDivorce on Twitter. However, the mentioned old article dates back to a time before the couple had even gotten together. So, there is very little to connect anyone spreading the rumour.

A few weeks ago when the Twitterati did a similar trend of #DhoniRetires there were memes as hilarious as the ones that are seen today. But MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh Dhoni decided to step in and cleared up the rumour as a baseless allegation once and for all with a tweet of her own that settled the rumour.

Incidentally no such tweet from either Virat Kohli or Anushka Sharma has been posted yet. The couple believes that there is no need to act upon such baseless allegations. Recently, Anushka Sharma’s web series Paatal Lok released worldwide and some objected the content that it promotes. BJP MLA went on to criticize the series and also went ahead and said “Virat should divorce the actress for having made a series like this”. And as one thing lead to the other, people have now been circulating an old article from 2016, but Virushka fans remain unaffected.
