Mr. 360 AB Devilliers hasn’t been that much active on social media compared to the rest of his contemporaries during these lockdown days. De Villiers who was rumoured to make his international return in the T20 world cup which was to be held Australia, has now posted a video on social media platforms as a campaign of Pepsi #SwagStepChallenge challenge. Indian players such as Yuzvendra Chahal and Yuvraj Singh made fun of him for doing so.
AB De Villiers shows his dance moves
South African cricketer AB De Villiers has been widely known for entertaining his fans on the field. But right now, in these times of lockdown, he took to social media to post a video of him dancing. He did it as a part of Pepsi #SwagStepChallenge. He danced to the tune of Pepsi India’s song ‘Swag se solo’. The video was intended to spread awareness about social distancing. The lyrics of the song makes people use the desi way of greeting people instead of shaking hands. He posted the video with the caption “Aaj kal salaam Namaste karne mein hi swag hai.”

Yuzi and Yuvi trolls AB De Villiers
ABD’s former RCB teammate Yuvraj Singh and present teammate Yuzvendra Chahal took this opportunity to pull ABD’s leg. Both of them are pretty active on social media during these days of lockdown and were targets of social media troll attacks for various reasons. Yuvraj reacted to ABD’s video by commenting “Hahahahaha nice moves! Ab” while Chahal wrote “What a swag sir”.
These three players share a great admiration for each other and are great friends off the field as well. ABD was quick to respond to these comments. He commented “hey! Behave yourself!” under Chahal’s comment to funnily criticize him for his childish behaviour on social media.
ABD’s return in doubt
AB De Villiers who retired from international cricket just before the 2019 ICC World Cup was set to return to international scenes after proving his fitness and performance in the IPL.
