Yuzvendra Chahal has Hilarious New Rule Suggestion for ICC

It’s a common notion that the post-COVID-19 world will be different from what we used to and Cricket will be affected in some ways as well. One of the rules the Cricket’s governing body, International Cricket Council (ICC) may look at is the use of Saliva on the ball by the players.

Cricketers use saliva to polish the ball which has been in practice since ages, a move that helps them turn the ball and fox the batsmen. But the Coronavorus pandemic may force the ICC to ban the bowlers to use this trick due to the fear of spreading the virus.

Chahal proposes his own rule to ICC

The bowlers around the world are concerned if ICC goes formal with this plan, but Indian Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, the funniest and active cricketer on social media these days, came up with his own proposal for ICC.

In an interview with Sports Tak, the 29-year-old humorously proposed ICC to add another rule for the batsmen;

“It will have an impact on drift and swing on the ball. So, in the end, it will become easier for batsmen. So another rule should be added then that if a batsman hits a six then he himself will have to bring back the ball.”

The former Indian Chess player also added that this is the first time in his life that he is feeling unproductive, but was optimistic in admitting that the current situation will every person better and mentally stronger.

The leg spinner also recited the fact that it is the first occasion in the last 20 years that he is not being able to do anything. However, he looked optimistic over the same and added that these conditions will surely make every individual mentally stronger.

“In 20 years of cricket career, this is the first time that I am not being able to do anything. But you can take it positively also that it will make you mentally stronger,” Chahal added.

Chahal helped raise 8.8 lakh for charity!

Recently, Chahal took part in an online chess charity event with former world champion Viswanathan Anand and helped raise Rs 8.8 lakh for the waste pickers’ community fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
