PM Modi asked the nation to lit up candles on 5th April at 9 PM

In contrast to the current COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed the fellow country people to lit candles, torch, diyas, etc as a gesture to all the paramedical, media people and police force.

The whole nation once again came to the fore and obeyed what the PM asked for. Prior to this, the prime minister of 22nd March 2019 asked people to clap at 5 PM for 5 minutes to appreciate the efforts surged by our paramedical, media people and police force who are risking their lives for us to remain safe.

The fate of IPL and ICC World Cup 2020 in disarray

The Indian Premier League which was supposed to get underway from 29th March was shifted further to April 15th. However, with the nationwide lockdown currently imposed, the start of the IPL still looms under clouds and if rumors are to be believed, there is a possibility of the event getting canceled.

Meanwhile, the COVID-19 pandemic has shaken the world and it could also affect the start of ICC T20 World Cup 2020 which is slated to kick-off from 18th October. However, the International Cricket Council is pretty sure that the megaevent will go ahead as per the proposed plans and there won’t be any delay. Let us just hope that these two marquee events aren’t affected in the future.
