However, as things stand, it would be difficult for the BCCI to organize the IPL 2020 anytime soon. As per several reports, the BCCI is planning to get the October-November window for the tournament. Mumbai Indians – 

The most successful team in the history of the competition Mumbai Indians once again are expected to be among the top 4 for sure. They retained the core of the team intact and went with a clear plan in the auction. They further added the firepower in their already star-studded batting line up. While they traded Quinton de Kock in the trade window, they bought Chris Lynn as well. In the bowling department, they added Thunderbolt – Trent Boult, and Nathan Coulter-Nile. They arguably have the most balanced and strong side in the competition, and they are least expected to make it to the playoffs in the IPL 2020.

Delhi Capitals – 

Delhi Capitals are one of the most underperforming teams in the history of the tournament. However, things changed the last season due to the change in their transfer strategy. Delhi Capitals have heavily invested on the young Indian talent in the past 2 seasons. This season, they retained their core intact and added 2 big names in Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin in the trade window. In the auction, they went on to buy Marcus Stoinis, Chris Woakes, Shimron Hetmyer, and Jason Roy, among others. The Capitals have enough arsenal at their disposal to emerge champions this season. They would try to do one better from the last season by reaching the final of the competition for the first time.

Sunrisers Hyderabad – 

SRH have always been an under-rated side. They go about their business with a very balanced mindset. They would be pleased to see their regular captain David Warner back to lead the side. They have almost a similar side to last season, with only notable name added was of Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh. However, they have enough resources in every department, including 2 Afghans in Rashid and Nabi, Bhuvi, Williamson, and Bairstow, to form a strong unit. Expect them to once again qualify for the playoffs in the IPl 2020.

Royal Challengers Bangalore – 

The perennial underachievers of the IPL – Royal Challengers Bangalore are the most exciting team to watch in the tournament. Over the years, the team has failed to win the league once despite having numerous stars in their ranks. Led by Indian captain Virat Kohli, RCB looked a team with a plan in the auction. Their most significant addition was Aaron Finch at the top. But it is their bowling which needed some firepower. RCB did just right by adding Dale Steyn, Kane Richardson, and Chris Morris to their line-up. If things go well for Kohli & Co. this season, they have the chance to qualify for the playoffs.

While many would argue that CSK should have been at the place of RCB. They are one of the most consistent and successful teams in the history of the IPL. But if you look closely at their squad, most of their players haven’t played a lot of cricket in the recent past. The list includes their captain MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Ambati Rayudu, and Kedar Jadhav, among others. Their star opener Shane Watson was in an awful form in the PSL 2020.
