Watch: Dale Steyn names his favourite cricketer and his bunny

Cricketers usually get very less time off the field, and when they do, they’ll be surrounded by different media’s asking them questions about their lifestyles, their view on the present day game and opinion on contemporary players. South African legend Dale Steyn found himself in such a situation during his stay in Pakistan while taking part in the Pakistan Super League. He was asked by a media to answer the Google Autocomplete questions.

Steyn opens up

Steyn has been a part of the South African pace attack for quite some time now. Even though he has aged a bit, he still continues to instil fear in the batsmen the way he used to do in his early days. He was a part of the Pakistan Super League playing for Islamabad United and showed the world that he is still capable of swinging the ball and uprooting the stumps. 

Answering Google Autocomplete questions in a video released by Tetra Pak Pakistan, he gave the viewers, an insight into his views about Pakistan, his fitness mantra among the many other things related to his life. 

Firstly he was asked about the things that he love in Pakistan, to which he replied that he had come here after a very long time and it was marvelous to see huge crowds filling up the stadium in each match. He also added that he is in love with the food that had been served to him in the country.

Speaking about his health and fitness mantra he said that all he aims is to keep himself fit and healthy and also consume packaged milk. Answering the much-anticipated question of who was his favourite cricketer, he named his proteas teammate AB de Villiers. 

He said, “He [AB de Villiers] is just an incredible batter and he is also a good friend.”

Continuing with the questionnaire, he moved on to tell about his favourite memory in all his years of playing cricket. He told that South Africa’s first Test win in Australia is his most cherished cricket memory. The South Africans had won matches in Perth and Melbourne and had gone on to win the series eventually.

Next up he was asked about his bunny wicket to which he jokingly mentioned his neighbour, whom he had dismissed a billion times in backyard cricket back in South Africa. 

But answering the question seriously, he named the Pakistan batsman Mohammad Hafeez, as the one player that he found it easy to dominate in the cricket field.
