Road Safety World Series has been called off due to the coronavirus scare. The official announcement is likely soon.
According to Sportstar, the decision on the tournament was taken after the players had a long meeting with the organisers on Thursday. Earlier, the health ministry issued a notification to avoid public gatherings and the organisers decided on continuing the remainder of the tournament behind closed doors.
Road Safety World Series called-off
In a meeting on Thursday between the players and the organisers, the decision to call off the tournament was taken. It is also decided that the league will be postponed to either May or October, depending on the availability of the stakeholders.
Sri Lankan contingent of Muttiah Muralitharan, Marvan Atapattu and Rangana Herath have flown back to their country while the remaining overseas cricketers are expected to fly out of India soon.
