The Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) has sent out a circular announcing the major changes ahead IPL 2020 season. Capped and overseas stars can now be loaned during the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League.

The concept of loaning out uncapped players was introduced in the last edition although it was not much success with lack of interest from franchises. However, this time the overseas and capped players can also be loaned.

The loaning window will be open at 9 AM on the day following the 28th match of IPL 2020 season or when all the IPL teams have featured in seven games each.

“Only players who have played in less than two complete matches in the playing XI or as a concussion replacement during the season may be subject to a player loan. The loan window will start at 9 am on the day following the 28th match scheduled for the season or once all the teams have played 7 matches each, whichever is later,” says the circular.
