When everyone expected a fight from the #1 side, they relinquished without any fight and gifted an another easy victory to the Kiwis whom the Indians term as the nicest guys on the cricket field.
After beginning the series on a historic note, the Indian team was expected to have another dominant series but the New Zealanders were ready to give the Indians a reality-check which has brought the Indian test team to the ground after bossing all the teams in their home season.
Virat Kohli tries his luck with the ball in hand
The Indian skipper gave something for the media people and the fans of his to rejoice when he rolled his arm over towards the end of the 2nd test. The match was done and dusted when the skipper decided to take matter into hos own hands.
When the Kiwis needed a mere 7 runs for another comprehensive victory, the forgotten bowler in Virat Kohli came into bowl.
Earlier in the day Indian overnight batsman Hanuma Vihari and Rishabh Pant walked into the middle with the hopes of taking India’s lead to 200 run mark but what followed was the repeat of the earlier 3 innings.
In the end India managed to add just 34 runs to their overnight score that gave the Kiwis an easy target of 132 runs which the Kiwis chased without dropping any sweat.
Christchurch was privileged to see @imVkohli send down some 100km/h trundlers this afternoon. He was shaping it away from the left-handers, but we couldn't tell if that was swing or just the wind! #NZvIND #NZvsIND #TeamIndia pic.twitter.com/v8Dupiy5c4

Horrible series for the Indian batters
The Indian batting order is one of the most experienced group going around with the whole of Indian top order having ample experience of playing in SENA conditions. With such world class batters, it was a disappointing to see a lackluster show from them.
Average of Indian batsman in the Test series against New Zealand:
Prithvi Shaw – 24.50
Mayank Agarwal – 25.50
Cheteshwar Pujara – 25
Virat Kohli – 9.50
Ajinkya Rahane – 22.75
Hanuma Vihari – 21.50
Rishabh Pant – 15
Indians will have to take this issue very seriously and should work on their game against the moving balls.
