In the recently concluded 9th match of the Pakistan Super League, Pakistan’s new bowling sensation Naseem Shah castled Islamabad United opener Luke Ronchi’s stumps by a brute yorker.

Playing for the Quetta Gladiators, the young sensation picked two wickets in as many overs. Islamabad lost their opener in the very second over of the game. Shah then cleaned up English batsman Dawid Malan to add more misery for the Islamabad United, who were batting first. He finished his spell with two wickets in four overs giving away just 23 runs.
Shah makes his return count
This is Shah’s first game of the season in the super league. The pacer has played 4 Tests so far for Pakistan. Not too long back, Shah complained of having pain around his rib cage during the first Test against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi.
Incidentally, he left the field right after bagging a hat-trick. At 16, Shah became the youngest to achieve the feat. He didn’t take any further part in the game as Pakistan wrapped an innings win against Bangladesh. He missed the initial part of the new season of the Pakistan super league but is now back in action with a bang.
Islamabad fight back
After losing their top order cheaply, Colin Munro made a 20-ball 31 while skipper Shadab Khan got into the act with a brisk 39 off 25 balls. But it was Colin Ingram who made 63 runs from 40 balls that took Islamabad to a formidable total.
Strong bowling attack
Quetta have a strong bowling attack with the likes of Sohail Khan and T Mills in the line-up. Adding Naseem to the mix have made it even more stronger. They would look to maintain a winning momentum and qualify for the knock-outs. The side is led by Sarfaraz Ahmed and the former skipper of the national team is leading the team from the front this season.
