The mother of all T-20 leagues – IPL has finally come to an end. Once again the fan ship was on the top, not just the domestic players but foreign players enjoyed pulsating support from the cricket-obsessed nation. After all passion doesn’t ask for the passport!
Some overseas player loved by the nation and some got the appreciation. All in all each and every player have got the attention of the audiences but it is not a cake walk.
There are two teams that have different equations; Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians have struggled to get the right blend but some like CSK and Hyderabad steals the show in style. Apart from them, all the teams have got foreign talent to flaunt the best they can be.
So, here is the list of top 5 best overseas players in IPL 2018:
#5 Shane Watson
The nerve breaking performance by Shane Watson at the most crucial moment – IPL final makes him lethal for the bowlers of opposition. He secured two centuries at very crucial moment (one in the final) to make CSK 3rd time champion and equals the record Mumbai Indians.
#4 Andrew Tye
He is the most successful overseas fast bowler of this season. He is awarded with a purple cap to decorate his “wardrobe” for taking 24 wickets in 14 matches with an inexpensive economy rate of 8 runs per over.
#3 Kane Williamson
Even the haters of Kane Williamson had gone gaga over him and the reason is his blistering performance to take up the charge of his team. After losing Captain David Warner, Hyderabad had no other better option than him. So, Mr. responsible scored 735 with an outstanding average of 52.50 which takes Hyderabad to the finals.
#2 Rashid Khan
It is not a shock that he is an Afghan player but he is just 19 year old and becoming the greatest talent is stunning. It is not a rumor that some Indian fans want him to play for India and asked Foreign ministry to issue Indian passport to him because he had taken 21 wickets in just 17 matches to finish at the second highest wicket taker in the tournament. Rashid’s finest hour came in the all-important Qualifier 02 against the Kolkata Knight Riders, as the vile spinner smashed a 10-ball-34 and followed it up with a spell of 3-19 to lead his side to the finals.
#1 Sunil Narine
From a wrecking bowler to a bludgeoning batsman, Sunil is all about a foreign talent who deserves to be on the top as IPL itself chose him as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) 2018. He dazzled his blistering performance from the group stage to play offs which leads KKR to the top four in the table this year. The Windies local talent scored 357 runs and took 17 wickets.
