Brian Charles Lara, a Trinidadian former international cricketer, widely acknowledged as one of the greatest batsmen of all time.He topped the Test batting rankings on several occasions and holds several cricketing records, including the record for the highest individual score in first-class cricket, with 501 not out for Warwickshire against Durham at Edgbaston in 1994, which is the only quintuple hundred in first-class cricket history.
He is currently Playing in the Bushfire Bash 2020 from the Ponting’s XI side, captained by none other than Australian legend Ricky Ponting under the coaching against Gilchrist’s XI.
As it Happened..
It all happened in the 4th ball of the 6th Over being bowled by Australia Women’s medium pacer Ellyse Villani to West Indian cricketing legend Brian Lara.As Villani bowled, Lara hit a magnificent shot towards the backward square leg for a Boundary.This shot took everyone down the lane to the time when Lara played regular Cricket. All About Bushfire Bash 2020
Bushfire Bash was originally slated to be played at Sydney today but weather forecast prompted Cricket Australia to reschedule the game to ensure the best possible pitch and outfield conditions for the final of Big Bash League.
It is currently being played at the Junction Oval in Melbourne, where Gilchrist XI won the coin toss & have opted to bowl first.

The Bushfire Bash exhibition match is a 10-overs-per-side contest, with a five-over Powerplay, no bowling restrictions, and batters unable to get out from the first ball they face.Bowlers will not have any over limits, fielders can sub on and off as it suits, while captains will have the ability to sub batters in and out during an innings
