Kolkata – A stellar all-round performance from Rashid Khan in the Qualifier 2 booked Sunrisers Hyderabad’s place in the final. SRH will lock horns against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday in the IPL 2018 final.
Put into bat, SRH made a cautious start with Dhawan and Saha putting on 56 runs for the opening wicket in 7.1 overs. The spinners wreaked a havoc on Sunrisers’ batting in the middle overs. They were heading towards below par score, but Rashid Khan pulled off a fantastic cameo of 10-ball 34 – studded with 4 sixes – to propel his side to 174.
In reply, Sunil Narine got Kolkata Knight Riders off to a flyer and were cruising at halfway stage. Williamson handed the ball to Rashid Khan seeking a bailout. The leggie responded, running through KKR innings, returning with 3/19.
