IPL has the Most Valuable Player award every season which is equivalent to the Man of the Tournament award. Points are calculated throughout the season based on the impact of a particular player in their team’s success. With IPL 2020 around the corner, let’s see who could lift the award this season :
1. KL Rahul
The newly-appointed skipper of the Kings XI Punjab team, KL Rahul has been in some great form with the bat for the Indian team. His white-ball game has been getting better and he has been performing consistently well for the past six months in the limited-overs game. Rahul had scored over 1200 runs in the last two seasons of the IPL, but it could be the year where he takes home the IPL MVP award.

2. Andre Russell
Kolkata Knight Riders have found an absolute match-winner in Andre Russell. Last season, he sizzled away with over 500 runs at a strike rate close to 200. He contributed with wickets as well and was MVP of the 2015 and 2019 edition. Having shown his good batting and bowling form at the Bangladesh Premier League, Russell could again set the stage on fire at the IPL 2020.
Another tournament, another #MVP in a purple jersey ?
