Watch: Aussie U19 batsman gets physical with India quick

India and Australia Under 19 teams just battled out a hard-fought Quarter Final in the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup 2020. Australia U-19 have lost one game and won the other 2 to enter the last 8 stage whereas India have been absolutely flawless in this tournament. They swept aside Japan, Srilanka and New Zealand with huge wins and have entered the quarters as favourites.
Heated clash between the boys!
The much-anticipated quarter-finals which took place at Potchefstroom where India have defended their total of 233 runs. During the second innings, there was an incident that happened which will definitely be looked upon by the match referee.
Indian seamer Akash Singh was bowling his 5th over which was the 31st over of the innings. On strike for the first ball was Australian youngster Sam Fanning. While attempting to take a single after tapping the ball into the backward point area, Fanning seemed to deliberately extend his right elbow to hit the Indian bowler. Akash Singh was definitely not happy with the behaviour and seemed to complain about it to the onfield umpires.
Indians on a roll!
Indians are firm favourite to win the semis as well as and are the title contenders for this edition of the world cup. Karthik Tyagi won MOTM for his bowling today with 4 wickets. Jaiswal and Ankolekar were good with the bat earlier in the day. Many Indians who are part of this mega event have already bagged IPL contracts and will be the ones to watch out for in IPL.
The likes of Karthik Tyagi, Yasasvi Jaiswal and Akash Singh will all turn out for the Rajasthan Royals franchise, while the Indian U19 skipper will don the Sunrisers jersey in the IPL 2020.
