Inter Milan to sign three Premier League veterans

Inter Milan continue to strengthen their squad this transfer window as they close in on signing Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, Manchester United full-back Ashley Young, and Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud.

Inter are confident of landing all the three players before the transfer window ends. Antonio Conte, Inter Milan manager, had stated earlier that there are not enough funds to boost up the squad in this transfer window.

However, the rumoured deals are nothing but bargains as all of the three transfer targets would not cost much to the Nerazzurri’s.

Talking first of Ashley Young, the deal is all but done for an agreed fee of £1.3m. As for Christian Eriksen, his agent, Martin Shoots, was reportedly spotted in Milan with Inter CEO Marotta.

There is a dispute about the transfer fees as Inter are offering £8m while Tottenham is asking around £15m. Olivier Giroud’s transfer is also reported to be in the later stages with the player ready to take a hit on his pay to force a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Ashley Young

Manchester United and Inter Milan have reportedly agreed on terms for the transfer of United’s former captain Ashley Young. Top sources in England including Sky Sports and The Guardian published the report on Thursday.

Christian Eriksen

There is a very low-level media coverage about Christian Eriksen’s move away from Tottenham despite Jose Mourinho hinting at a possible exit this month for the Danish midfielder. FabrizioRomano, a Tier 1 source and a reporter for Sky Sports, has reported though that the player’s agent was spotted in Milan and a deal could be imminent in the coming week.

Olivier Giroud

Giroud’s exit from England is hinging entirely on Chelsea’s demands which are too much for Inter to accept. Chelsea has reportedly asked for a fee of around £50m, but Inter Milan are trying hard to keep it down to £35m.
