After India sealing the series against the West Indies, quite a few players decided to detox by enjoying the festivities around them. On the occasion of Christmas, we saw young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant celebrating with his mentor and teammate, MS Dhoni.

The duo was seen dining at a restaurant in Dubai while having a few laughs. With Team India’s next challenge being on January 5 against Sri Lanka, there’s still plenty of time for the players to enjoy their well-deserved break.

MS Dhoni has been away from cricketing action ever since the ICC Cricket World Cup as Rishabh Pant tries to solidify his spot as the new hot property behind the stumps.

Virat Kohli backs Rishabh Pant

Though quite a few people still chant out Dhoni’s name during a game, the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli has asked the masses to give the 22-year-old time as he’ll eventually come good.

“We certainly believe in Rishabh’s ability. When you say it’s the player’s responsibility to work hard, perform and do all those things, I agree. But, I think it’s the collective responsibility of everyone around as well to give that player some space to do so as well. If he misses a chance or something, people can’t shout MS is in the stadium,” Virat Kohli said.
