Andrew Tye picked a sensational 4/34 to restrict Rajasthan Royals to a sub-par total (158/8) on Tuesday. The Kings XI Punjab speedster wore an armband in memory of his grandmother who passed today. Every time the Australian took a wicket, he would kiss the band.
“Just trying to change it up and not to be too predictable. My grandma passed away today and I’m very emotional. It was a pretty tough day, great bunch of guys. The surface is a bit slow and low, and I think the new ball will be crucial for us,”
said emotional Tye after the Rajasthan Royals’ innings.
Tye is now the leading wicket-taker in IPL 2018 with 16 wickets.
