NZ vs ENG 2nd Test: New Zealand dealt a big blow during the fifth and final day of the first test against England at Bay Oval in Mt. Maunganui. The premier quick Trent Boult experienced pain in his ribs and left the field.
The 30-year-old bowler is doubtful for the second test at Seddon Park in Hamilton, starting on 29 November. New Zealand Cricket confirmed that Boult will have an MRI scan on Tuesday.
Likely replacement
Given the situation, New Zealand cricket is likely to give Boult rest for the Hamilton Test. Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry are the fast bowling options in the 15-man NZ squad. One of them is likely to come in.
New Zealand lead the two-match Test series 1-0 after an emphatic win by an innings and 65 runs.
