Matthijs de Ligt will be missing out Juventus’ Champions League clash against Lokomotiv Moscow after sustaining an ankle injury.
The former Ajax captain scored the only goal in the most recent game against Torino and in the process played a vital role in Juventus claiming all three points in what was a difficult away fixture.
As a result of the win over Torino, Juve resides at the top of Serie A with 29 points, while being a point above Inter Milan.
In terms of the Champions League, Maurizio Sarri’s men will be keen on registering a win in Moscow in order to remain at the first spot in Group D and to solidify a berth in the Round of 16.
Matthijs de Ligt is expected to be back by the Milan game which takes place on Sunday night.
Due to de Ligt’s exclusion, Adrien Rabiot was recently included in the 20-man squad that travels to Russia.
