LIV vs GEN Dream11 Match Prediction
Liverpool are set to take on Genk in the Champions League group-4 match at Anfield, knowing a win would take them on the cusp of last-16. The defending champions are 2nd in the group, one point behind Napoli who beat Jurgen Klopp’s men 2-0 in the opening game at San Paolo.
Genk, meanwhile, are propping up the table. In fact, they haven’t won in the Champions League in their relatively short European history. They are the only side in the competition to play as many as 15 games without winning any of them (D8L7).
To make matter worse, Genk suffered a 2-0 defeat against struggling Eupen at the weekend, hardly the right way to approach the game against the defending European champions.
Fantasy picks!
Sadio Mane: Liverpool’s No-10 is fresh off scoring a 95th-minute winner against Aston Villa at the weekend.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: He has been unlucky not to get enough starts this season despite scoring some wonderful goals. He should be in the starting11 here.
Divock Origi: Klopp hailed the young Belgian as the Liverpool legend during the press conference. he is loved by the fans and is already a cult hero after scoring some mammoth goals last season.

Liverpool vs Genk Team News:
Liverpool team news:
Jordan Henderson missed the training on Monday which makes his case for this game a bit questionable. The captain suffered a knock against Aston Villa at the weekend and could miss the game.
Joel Matip remains out at the moment. The big Cameroonian is recovering from a knee injury, while Xherdan Shaqiri and Nathaniel Clyne are the long-term absentees for the hosts.
Manchester City clash to affect Klopp’s decision here?
It already did. Fabinho was at the risk of getting suspended for the match against City if got booked at Villa Park after earning four yellow cards. Well, he didn’t for he didn’t play. The Brazilian will sure get into the playing 11 here, but Klopp may not risk Henderson here, while Georginio Wijnaldum also needs rest having played an insane amount of game this season.
ENG vs NZ Today Match Prediction:
Midfield set for a change!
James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has been firing bullets at the goal of late, are in contention to start the match. Naby Keita is also fit after recovering from the recent injury set back.
The full-backs pick themselves up, but Klopp has the option of using Mr Versatile James Milner as a makeshift full-back if the German does decide to rest either Arnold or Anderson. Joe Gomez could be given a start here with either Van Dijk or Dejan Lovren getting the rest.
And the front three as well!
Mohamed Salah has been struggling with his ankle in the last few weeks and may not be risked here, while Roberto Firmino could be given a day off here as well.
Divock Origi and Rhian Brewster could both get star here as part of the front three alongside Sadio Mane.
Genk Team news:
Felice Mazzu has no fresh injury concerns from the squad which hosted Liverpool a fortnight ago. But Jere Uronen (ankle) and Danny Vukovic (Achilles) remain on the sideline at the moment.
Likely tactics: The double-decker bus!
As mentioned, Genk are yet to win a game in the Champions League in their history, and Anfield is the last ground any team would want to visit to change that record.
That said, Mazzu will name the strongest possible Xi in this game, and the likeliest tactics he is expected to go with is high numbers of players behind the ball.
The idea will be to frustrate the hosts for as long as possible. Sander Berge and Patrik Hrosovsky will be key in the midfield, while Theo Bongonda and Junya Ito will have to control their attacking instincts to mitigate Liverpool’s threat on the wings.
Liverpool vs Genk playing 11:
Liverpool: Alisson (GK), Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, van Dijk, Robertson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane
Genk: Coucke (GK), Maehle, Cuesta, LucumÃ, De Norre, Ito, Hrosovsky, Berge, Bongonda, Onuachu, Samatta
