Eastern Conference giants Milwaukee Bucks are set to entertain home fans at Fiserv Forum as they host Utah Jazz in the pre-season game.

Bucks opened their pre-season campaign away at Chicago Bulls, beating the home team 112-122 at United Center, and doing so without a host of superstars.

Reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, Eric Bledsoe and Khris Middleton all were left out of the squad by head coach Mike Budenholzer due to different reasons.

While this will be the first game for Utah Jazz in this pre-season. Head coach Quin Snyder will be hoping to emulate last season, at least, where his team managed 50 wins in the regular season.

But that’s easier said than done as the teams in the Western Conference have improved further.

Stars may return:

Bucks negotiated their first pre-season game without a number of key players. As mentioned above, Giannis, Middleton and Bledsoe all missed the game, while veteran players such as George Hill, Kyle Korver and Ersan Ilyasova also missed the action.

However, there’s a chance that we may see a near full-strength Bucks team in this game.

“My guess is yes,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “I’ll probably check with them and make sure they want to play. Usually, they say yes, so I would expect to see most if not all of those guys.”

Budenholzer also indicated that he is looking to give his star players more minutes over the course of the preseason. But Giannis’ case is different. He played in the summer’s FIBA World Cup, may require more rests than his teammates. So, the Greek-Freak may not play much here.

While in terms of inures, D.J. Wilson remains out due to a hamstring issue.

Another opportunity for the new signings:

Wesley Matthews clocked 21 minutes and had 10 points, 2 assists and 4 rebounds in the match. The 32-year-old former Indiana Pacers guard has been brought into the squad as a replacement for Malcolm Brogdon. But more is expected from him.

While the likes of Robin Lopez, Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Dragan bender all had a satisfactory outing in the last game.

Utah Jazz Team News:

Jazz have some injury issues ahead of this game and they could be without a number of key players.

Emmanuel Mudiay has been ruled out due to a thigh problem. He won’t feature here.

Superstar Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell both missed the practice game on Saturday due to rest purposes and there are no reports whether the duo will play here or not.

Dante Exum has been ruled as well from this match as he is recovering from a knee injury.

Summer signing Mike Conley Jr. was given a rest as well but is expected to play against the Bucks.
