SEV vs ESL Dream11 | Dream11 Grand League Match Preview, Team News, Lineups
Emulating the last season will be difficult for Espanyol, considering a lot of top teams failed to hit their lofty heights during the 2018-19 campaign.
But the club should look back at the last season as a platform to build upon rather than a burden of expectations, robbing the team of its ease it is supposed to have.
The first game is an opportunity though, as they take on top-four hopeful Sevilla at RCDE Stadium.
MATCH Info: La Liga

Where: Cornellà-El Prat (RCDE Stadium)
SEV vs ESL Dream11 MATCH PREVIEW:
- Sevilla’s Champions League hopes dashed as the season progressed, with the Andalusian club eventually finishing at a lowly 6th position on the table, costing Pablo Machin his job.
- A better season is expected from the former Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui, who himself needed this chance to redeem himself of the mess he seemed to have created at Real Madrid.
Team News:
Espanyol:
- Adrià Pedrosa failed to shake off his injury problem in time to feature in manager David Gallego’s matchday squad. The 21-year-old joins Pablo Piatti and David Lopez on the sidelines.
- Didac Vila is now expected to start at left-back in the absence of Adria Pedrosa.
- Naldo and Luis Lopez should reprise their central defensive roles, with Javi Lopez starting at right-back.
- Wu Lei is expected to be given a start following his impressive display last season. The Chinese should start alongside Facundo Ferreyra in the attack.
Sevilla:
- Ever Banega is suspended for Sevilla following his yellow card in the last league game of the 2018-19 campaign.
- New summer signings Luuk de Jong and Lucas Ocampos should start, while new defensive arrivals Diego Carlos and Jules Kounde will fight to partner Daniel Carrico at center-back.
SEV vs ESL Dream11 Grand League Picks for Captains & Vice-Captains:
Facundo Ferreyra: The 28-year-old Argentine arrived from Benfica last season and featured mostly from the bench. But with star striker Borja Iglesias expected to leave for Real Betis, Ferreyra now has the chance to make the forward position his own. He has the pace and technical ability to be a success.
Wu Lei: The first-ever Chinese to play in La Liga. He has had a decent start to his career in Spain, impressing in the limited opportunity he got.
Last season:
- Games: 12
- Goals: 03
- Assists: 01
Marc Roca and Sergi Darder: Much of Espanyol’s power is in their midfield, with the likes of Marc Roca, and Sergi Darder pulling the string.
Roca is still young and will only improve, while Darder is reaching his prime and already showed last season that he can be pretty influential on the field.
Lucas Ocampos: Following the less than impressive 2018-19 season, Sevilla dug deep into the transfer for the fresh blood with Lucas Ocampos being one of the new arrivals.
The 25-year-old is a very wily customer, often drifting back into the midfield to dictate things. He has goals in him as well.
Last season (With Marseille):
- Games: 38
- Goals: 05
- Assists: 07
Luuk de Jong: he arrived in La Liga with a reputation of being a very good poacher. But he is more than that tag, for his hold up play and ability in the air, all these qualities making him a very very dangerous player.
Last season (With PSV Eindhoven)
- Games: 40
- Goals: 31
- Assists: 06
